Team

Operators and company builders.

Ventura combines deep industry and technical experience with company-building, commercial, investment and governance depth. The people below lead the platform; operating-company leaders and capability partners join this page as they are appointed.

Portrait of Matt Coughlin

Matt Coughlin

Operating Partner · platform operator and industry builder

Leads — Operating strategy, technical and commercial standards, and the relationship with business owners joining the network.

Matt is the operating face of Ventura and co-authored the platform thesis. He is president of a national industrial dust-collection equipment and filtration business that he has grown materially through digital demand generation, CRM discipline and a stronger sales engine — the commercial template the platform is built to replicate. Before that he spent fifteen years in aerospace and turbomachinery, including military programme management and manufacturing and supplier-development engineering. His background combines industrial engineering, fabrication, supply chain, government contracting and hands-on small-business operation.

M.S. Supply Chain, University of San Diego. B.S. Manufacturing Engineering, Cal Poly.

Portrait of Jorge Quiroga

Jorge Quiroga

Partner · platform formation and digital growth

Leads — Platform formation, the shared commercial and digital layer (demand generation, CRM, customer data, the aftermarket commercial system), and recruiting and developing operating leadership.

Jorge brings company-building, digital demand, systems and go-to-market depth. Over fifteen years he founded and led three companies across travel retail, hospitality and e-commerce services, selling one to a private equity fund, and led them as CEO through the pandemic. He co-founded and led BlackSip, a digital commerce and marketing company of more than 200 people, where he is now Chairman, and built El Market into one of Latin America's largest travel retailers before its sale. He began his career as one of the first employees of Google's Latin America operation.

M.Sc. Business Management, Stanford GSB. B.S. Computer Engineering and B.S. Industrial Engineering, Universidad de los Andes.

Portrait of Santiago López

Santiago López

Partner · M&A, finance and company building

Leads — Acquisition underwriting, portfolio finance and the platform's finance-as-a-service capability for operating companies.

Santiago brings transaction discipline and an operator's understanding of scaling systems and teams. He has participated in acquisitions and exits representing more than $400 million of enterprise value as an investor, and founded and led Soulfoods, a multi-brand food company that scaled to more than 100 employees.

MBA, Stanford GSB. B.S. Industrial Engineering, Universidad Iberoamericana.

Operating-company leaders

The general managers and founders who lead Ventura's operating companies are listed here, alongside their companies, once each partnership is complete and disclosure is approved.

Capability partners

Ventura works with senior specialists — in aftermarket and lifecycle management, filtration engineering, field service and commercial operations — who bring decades of industry experience to the shared capability layer. They are introduced here as their roles are formalized.

Sponsorship

Ventura Americas is sponsored by Cumular Capital, an industrial company-building firm that partners with veteran sector operators to build institutional platforms from proven, founder-led businesses. Cumular provides platform architecture, capital formation, governance, finance and acquisition support; the operating partner and the operating companies lead execution.
